What’s happening around Lake Martin Alabama in June 2018?

                Summer is official around Lake Martin Alexander City, Dadeville, and Eclectic with temps above eighty and climbing along with the lake level which is currently at 490ft.  I don’t know about you but summertime on Lake Martin Alabama is pretty entertaining. June 1, 2018 marks the beginning of the Summer’s lake festivities. So, what’s planned for June?

 Our 6^th annual Sun Festival officially begins June 4^th with week-long activities for everyone of all ages to enjoy.  Every day between June 4^th through 9^th the festivities will kick off at 6:30 with the local favorite Pie in the Sky treasure hunt. The Alexander City Outlook will post a daily clue as to the where-abouts of a hidden medallion. Daily finders will win a cash prize. Other Sun Fest festivities include Glow-in-the-Dark Golf Tournament at Lake Winds, Cornhole Tournament at The Coffee Corner, Several Activities for the kiddos with Libraries Rock at Mamie’s Place Children’s Library in Alexander City and the Dadeville Public Library on Tuesday and Thursday, and, of course, ending with the Jazz Fest on the 8^th and the 9^th. 

                Several other things are planned for the rest of the month, the 15^th and 16^th will have the Lake Martin Area Rodeo hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of the Lake Martin Area. Also on the 16^th will be the Miss Lake Martin Pageant in the Dadeville High School Auditorium.  

                If you are in to water sports, there will be a Slolam Clinic at Porter’s Branch sponsored by Russell Marine on the 15^th and 16^th and an All Wake Surf Clinic on the 18^th.

                Jess Meuse, 2014 American Idol finalist will be performing at Kowaliga Restaurant on June 17^th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
